- Professional culinary education or equivalent experience
- prior kitchen supervisory experience
- valid SNHD food handling card
- ability to operate standard kitchen equipment
- strong communication skills
- ability to work in fast-paced, team-oriented settings
- meet attendance and scheduling needs
- ability to read, write and speak English
Job Qualifications
- Professional culinary training or experience in fast-paced fine dining or catering
- previous supervisory experience in a kitchen
- ability to supervise kitchen staff effectively
- skilled in operating kitchen equipment including broiler, steamer, convection oven, mixer, meat slicer, and chef knife
- strong communication skills with employees, management, and guests
- ability to read, write, and speak English
- capacity to work well in team-oriented, fast-paced environments
- possession of a valid SNHD food handling card
Job Duties
- Coordinate and supervise the work of kitchen staff
- teach proper culinary preparation and food presentation
- assist in controlling food and labor costs
- conduct inspections to ensure cleanliness and maintenance meet standards
- assist with monthly inventory
- provide high quality, fresh food products promptly
- prepare hot and cold foods following recipes and portion requirements
- participate as a team player with responsibilities in preparation and service
- report maintenance needs for kitchen equipment
- maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards
- observe and test foods for proper cooking
- portion, arrange, and garnish food plates for delivery
- consult with executive chefs to plan menus and estimate food consumption
- meet company attendance standards
