Job Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods of time
- ability to work a flexible schedule including AM/PM shifts, weekends, and holidays

- must live within 50 miles of the hotel

Job Qualifications
- Culinary school or vocational school degree or certificate is a plus
- 1 to 2 years relevant experience preferred in a high-volume restaurant or hotel outlet restaurant or bar/pub
- general knowledge of line work including pantry, biscuits and fry station
- general understanding of cooking and preparation methods such as saute, roast, bake, steam
- ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English
- ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions
- ability to apply common sense to carry out written and oral instructions
- ability to write and perform daily prep lists and par sheets
- ability to meet Omni Hotels & Resorts quality and performance standards
- ability to update and maintain inventory
- self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision
Job Duties
- Assist in overall culinary team operation
- create schedules according to workloads and occupancy
- prepare and execute food orders for outlet restaurants or in-room dining
- conduct daily mise en place and station setup
- maintain high quality and consistency of food
- check portion control and weights before service
- inspect food products for quality
- order and receive ingredients and culinary supplies
- maintain cleanliness of food prep and production areas
- conduct departmental line-ups
- assist with special events and dietary requirements
- perform month end inventory
- report maintenance or security issues
- control food cost
- produce and plate dishes
- prepare and store food for advanced production
- work in a fast-paced team environment
