Job Requirements
- ability to work outdoors for extended periods of time
- ability to work a flexible schedule including am/pm, weekends, holidays
- ability to stand for extended periods
- ability to ensure efficient operation of food production outlets
- ability to write and perform prep lists and par sheets
- ability to update and maintain inventory
- must live within 50 miles of the hotel
Job Qualifications
- culinary school or vocational school degree or certificate is a plus
- 1 to 2 years relevant experience in high-volume restaurant or hotel outlet
- general knowledge of line work including pantry, biscuits, and fry station
- understanding of cooking techniques such as sauté, roast, bake, steam
- ability to communicate effectively in English
- ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions
- self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision
Job Duties
- assist in the overall operation of the culinary team
- prepare and execute food for outlet restaurants and in-room dining
- conduct daily mise en place and station setups
- ensure portion control and food quality consistency
- manage inventory levels and communicate shortages
- maintain cleanliness of food preparation areas
- assist with special event preparation
- create and adjust work schedules
- order and receive culinary supplies
- conduct departmental line-ups
- control food costs
- assist in food plating and advanced food preparation
- report maintenance or security issues promptly
