Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Culinary training or equivalent work experience
  • Previous kitchen supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including event shifts
  • Demonstrated excellent attendance

Job Qualifications

  • Professional training through culinary education or experience in fast-paced fine dining or catering
  • Previous supervisory experience in a kitchen
  • Ability to supervise kitchen staff
  • Proficient in operating kitchen equipment such as broiler, steamer, convection oven, mixer, meat slicer, and chef knives
  • Excellent communication skills with employees, management, and guests
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, event-driven environment
  • Valid food handling certificate if required by law
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English

Job Duties

  • Coordinate and supervise the work of kitchen staff
  • Display knowledge of culinary preparation skills and teach others proper preparation and food presentation
  • Assist in the control of food and labor costs
  • Conduct regular inspections of all kitchen locations to ensure cleanliness and maintenance meet company standards
  • Assist with monthly inventory
  • Prepare hot and cold foods following company recipes and portioning requirements
  • Maintain sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas
