Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum five years culinary experience including two years supervisory experience
  • ability to work both am and pm shifts
  • availability to work weekends and holidays
  • strong leadership skills
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to follow health and safety standards
  • ability to manage kitchen and front of house staff
  • physical ability to perform kitchen duties
  • attention to detail

Job Qualifications

  • minimum of five years culinary experience
  • at least two years supervisory experience
  • previous front of house or union supervisory experience is an asset
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
  • ability to manage a diverse team
  • aptitude for maintaining high-quality food preparation and presentation
  • familiarity with health, safety and sanitation regulations

Job Duties

  • oversee preparation of food in all areas during assigned shift
  • prepare fish and meats
  • assist and support kitchen team members
  • communicate any challenges to chef/sous chef
  • assist chef/sous chef in overseeing cleanliness and sanitation
  • set up daily specials and happy hour food according to schedule and spaces
  • visually inspect food quality and presentation
  • prepare staff schedules with guidance of chef/sous chef
  • ensure compliance with federal, state, local and company health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards
  • ensure compliance with federal, state, local and company food handling and food storage procedures
