Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience supervising or managing kitchen staff
- Ability to carry or lift up to 75 pounds
- Ability to move safely around the kitchen
- Ability to handle food, objects, products, and utensils safely
- Ability to bend, stoop, stand, and kneel
- Ability to withstand temperature changes in the work environment
Job Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Culinary arts courses or certifications preferred
- 1-2 years of supervisory or management experience in a high-volume kitchen
- Confident cooking skills and abilities
- Proven team leadership and communication skills
- Exceptional time management and organization skills
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Assist with the day-to-day culinary operations of the venue within company policies and guidelines
- Complete daily opening tasks including staff check-ins, line checks, and prep
- Complete daily closing tasks including staff check-outs, ordering, and kitchen walk through
- Maintain a professional company image through kitchen cleanliness and proper uniforms
- Uphold consistent product and service standards of the highest quality
- Ensure a safe working environment to reduce risks of injury and accidents
- Maintain kitchen organization and cleanliness in compliance with company and Health Department standards
- Train employees as assigned on an ongoing basis
- Lead by example and mentor new staff members
