Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1-2 years of experience supervising or managing kitchen staff
  • Ability to carry or lift up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to move safely around the kitchen
  • Ability to handle food, objects, products, and utensils safely
  • Ability to bend, stoop, stand, and kneel
  • Ability to withstand temperature changes in the work environment

Job Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Culinary arts courses or certifications preferred
  • 1-2 years of supervisory or management experience in a high-volume kitchen
  • Confident cooking skills and abilities
  • Proven team leadership and communication skills
  • Exceptional time management and organization skills
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Assist with the day-to-day culinary operations of the venue within company policies and guidelines
  • Complete daily opening tasks including staff check-ins, line checks, and prep
  • Complete daily closing tasks including staff check-outs, ordering, and kitchen walk through
  • Maintain a professional company image through kitchen cleanliness and proper uniforms
  • Uphold consistent product and service standards of the highest quality
  • Ensure a safe working environment to reduce risks of injury and accidents
  • Maintain kitchen organization and cleanliness in compliance with company and Health Department standards
  • Train employees as assigned on an ongoing basis
  • Lead by example and mentor new staff members
