Job Requirements
- Flexible availability for AM and PM shifts
- Must be available to work every other weekend and holiday
- Two to three years experience in culinary roles
- Culinary degree or equivalent post-secondary education preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to lead and train a team
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including evenings and weekends
Job Qualifications
- Two to three years experience in a related culinary position
- Two to three years of post-high school education, preferably a culinary degree
- Advanced knowledge of principles and practices within the food profession
- Proven experience managing people and solving personnel problems
- Excellent oral, reading, and written communication skills
- Ability and willingness to be hands on with staff and operations
- Availability to work flexible event-based hours including evenings and weekends
Job Duties
- Supervise and participate in the production, preparation, and presentation of all foods for the assigned unit as directed by the Executive Chef
- Ensure sufficient inventory levels to meet daily operational needs, record deliveries, manage discrepancies, and assist with proper storage
- Enforce proper handling of all food products and equipment to maintain food safety and kitchen standards
- Maintain cleanliness and uphold high sanitation standards at all times
- Interview, schedule, train, develop, empower, coach, counsel staff, resolve problems, facilitate open communication, and recommend discipline as appropriate
- Support flexible scheduling including event-based hours, evenings, weekends, holidays
- Adapt to changing job duties and assume new responsibilities as needed without formal notice
