Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of experience in kitchen supervisory or related role
  • Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in restaurant management or certification from culinary school is preferred
  • A minimum of 1 years' experience in a similar role
  • In-depth knowledge of kitchen health and safety regulations
  • Ability to work well in a possibly stressful and fast-paced environment
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict management abilities
  • Outstanding communication and organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Ordering materials, supplies, and ingredients based on demand
  • Supervising kitchen employees and organizing food orders
  • Overseeing the food preparation and cooking process
  • Training kitchen employees in designated stations
  • Monitoring inventory levels and performing weekly inventory assessments
  • Working with the restaurant manager to price and alter menu items
  • Scheduling work shifts for employees
  • Storing all food products in compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Ensuring the kitchen is clean and organized
  • Maintaining weekly and monthly cost reports
