Job Requirements
- Associate’s degree in restaurant or food management required
- bachelor’s degree preferred or five-year experience in restaurant or food management
- experience with institutional-size food preparation equipment
- experience with inventory control
- knowledge of Department of Health regulations and food safety standards
- proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook
- excellent communication skills
- leadership experience
- team-building abilities
- strong decision-making skills
- organizational skills
- valid New York State Driver’s License
- ability to maintain confidentiality

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Supervise staff and volunteers in preparing kitchen and dining areas
- assist with meal preparation according to standard recipes and dietary requirements
- coordinate service line to ensure smooth meal service
- oversee cleanup and maintenance of kitchen and dining facilities
- provide training, coaching, and direction to Kitchen Assistants and volunteers
- maintain communication with Director of Food Services, Production Cook, and Food School Supervisor
- ensure compliance with food safety protocols and Department of Health regulations
