Job Requirements

  • Technical, trade, or vocational school diploma
  • 4 to 6 years of related work experience
  • at least 2 years of experience as a supervisor
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • capability to reach within physical demands including lifting up to 25 pounds
  • compliance with safety policies and procedures
  • professional appearance and demeanor
  • ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • adherence to company confidentiality policies

Job Qualifications

  • Technical, trade, or vocational school diploma

Job Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and kitchen workers
  • determine food presentation and devise decorative food displays
  • ensure portion size, arrangement, and decoration of served food are appropriate
  • control quantity of food prepared
  • inform Food and Beverage service staff about rejected products and special dishes available
  • prepare special meals or substitute products
  • assist cooks and kitchen staff with various tasks
  • provide necessary items to cooks
  • monitor kitchen articles and food supplies in inventory
  • maintain kitchen records to comply with food safety and food product programs
  • ensure food quality and notify manager of any products not meeting specifications
  • assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, advising, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees
  • comply with all company safety policies and procedures
  • report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions
  • conduct safety training and obtain safety certifications
  • ensure uniform and personal appearance are neat and professional
  • maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company property
  • attend to guest service needs
  • communicate clearly and professionally
  • cultivate and maintain positive working relationships
  • support the team to achieve common goals
  • listen and respond appropriately to other employees' concerns
  • ensure compliance with quality expectations and standards
  • perform physical activities including standing, sitting, walking for prolonged periods
  • stretch above head and below knees including squatting, twisting, bending, and stooping
  • move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects up to 25 pounds without assistance
  • perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors
