Hypsi is the signature restaurant at the newly established Hotel Daphne, situated in the vibrant Houston Heights area. As a distinguished dining destination, Hypsi blends Italian-inspired cuisine with the unique spirit and culture of Houston. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience in a kitchen supervisory role
  • Strong knowledge of cooking methods and kitchen equipment
  • Ability to follow recipes and portion control guidelines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Adherence to safety and hygiene regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a kitchen supervisor or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic food safety knowledge
  • Ability to follow recipes and maintain portion control

Job Duties

  • Ensure the quality of the food items and notify manager if a product does not meet specifications
  • Ensure production of food in a timely manner
  • Prepare food so that quality, taste and appearance of food is in accordance with Horseshoe Bay Resort standards
  • Control proper usage and rotation of food
  • Ensure food quality and appearance on buffet, and plated food, is in accordance with HSB Resort standards
  • Alert Chef or direct supervisor to any food quality issues that could have an adverse effect on HSB Resort culinary operations or our members and guests
  • Maintain top organization and cleanliness in all walk-in coolers and food storage areas on a daily basis
