Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- working knowledge of CMS and DOH regulations related to food service
- intermediate or advanced English language proficiency for effective communication
- ability to read write speak and understand English
- ability to interact regularly with residents coworkers visitors and supervisors for a safe work environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- working knowledge of CMS and DOH regulations related to food service
- associates degree in Food Service Management Hospitality Management or related field preferred
- certified Dietary Manager preferred
- demonstrated supervisory experience preferred
- experience with DOH survey process preferred
- computer skills consistent with nutritional software programs preferred
Job Duties
- Assist Director of Dining Services with overseeing daily operations of kitchen dish room food storage and dining rooms
- adhere to state regulations best practices policies and procedures for food preparation and meal service
- ensure Dining Services staff adherence to food handling preparation and service policies
- monitor department food and non-food inventory aligned with resident needs and weekly menu cycle
- provide communication to Director and Administrator about food service operations
- conduct routine audits and monitor performance improvement initiatives
- attend and participate in staff meetings and in-service programs
- perform job functions of subordinate positions when necessary
- act as Director of Dining Services in his or her absence
- interact and communicate regularly with residents and family members regarding meal service
