Job Requirements

  • Food handler certification if applicable
  • one year of experience in a related or supportive role preferred
  • ability to manage food preparation and presentation
  • strong time management and organizational skills
  • excellent written communication skills
  • ability to work with minimal direction
  • flexibility to work mornings, nights, holidays, and weekends
  • motivated and able to take initiative

  • knowledge of menu concept and design

  • ability to work flexible hours including mornings, nights, holidays, and weekends
  • food handler certification if applicable

Job Duties

  • Lead kitchen staff and coordinate food orders
  • supervise food preparation and cooking by checking food plating, temperature, and portion sizes
  • train kitchen staff on prep work and food plating techniques
  • store food products in compliance with safety practices
  • maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen area
  • assist with scheduling all kitchen staff
  • promote all kitchen health and safety rules
  • price menu items in collaboration with the Restaurant Manager
  • order food supplies and kitchen equipment
  • keep weekly and monthly cost reports as needed
  • encourage and support team members in an effort to further their growth and development
  • take on additional responsibilities as required
