Job Requirements

  • Received high school diploma or GED
  • Must have current ServeSafe certification
  • Must have ability to take directions and effectively perform the work
  • At least three years experience in food service preparing meals
  • Two years kitchen management experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment
  • Ability to maintain proper grooming and dress code standards
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Physical capability to work in heat and stress conditions
  • Willingness to adhere to safety and hygienic food handling procedures

Job Duties

  • Supervise all line cooks and front of the house staff during service ensuring proper set up and break down of kitchen and dining areas
  • Set up stations and collect necessary supplies to prepare menu for service
  • Ensure line cooks prepare a variety of foods including meat, seafood, poultry, vegetable, and cold items according to specifications
  • Ensure all food items are covered, dated, and stored correctly
  • Maintain sufficient levels of food products at all stations for smooth service
  • Comply with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen rules
  • Use food preparation tools according to manufacturer instructions
  • Close the kitchen correctly following the closing checklist
  • Maintain well-equipped and sanitary work areas
  • Assist and approve cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in cooler, and storage areas
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
  • Ensure all storage areas are tidy and products stored appropriately
  • Use safe and hygienic food handling practices
  • Return dirty food preparation utensils to appropriate areas
  • Coach staff on time clock use and ensure breaks and clock outs per schedule
  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested by the Executive Chef
  • Adhere to grooming standards and company policies for self and employees
