Job Requirements

  • Manager Level Serve Safe Certification
  • Allergen Certification
  • Minimum of two years full-service kitchen restaurant experience
  • At least two years kitchen supervisory experience
  • Ability to prepare and cook food according to high-quality standards
  • Capability to supervise and coordinate kitchen staff
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to delegate responsibilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physical ability to stand for approximately 90 percent of the workday
  • Ability to lift, move, push, or pull goods up to 55 pounds
  • Willingness to work varied hours including extra days, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work in warm kitchen environments
  • Commitment to maintain established personal hygiene and health standards
  • Capacity to participate in conflict resolution and promote a positive team environment

  • Ability to contribute positively to team environment
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards

Job Duties

  • Oversee all food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Share complete responsibility with the management team for all food quality
  • Supervise, coordinate, and participate in activities of cooks and other kitchen personnel
  • Engage in preparing and cooking food in the restaurant
  • Provide input on estimates of food consumption and ordering
  • Maintain established level and quality of sanitation and cleanliness
  • Comply with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health standards
  • Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, and developing kitchen personnel and employee discipline and termination
  • Train and cross-train kitchen team members as assigned
  • Support execution throughout the shift
  • Assist in catering and special events
  • Report maintenance, repair, and safety concerns to management
  • Participate in kitchen inspections and assist in developing plans of action to solve and prevent recurring violations
  • Attend staff meetings as deemed by store managers
  • Perform any other responsibilities as may be assigned
