Job Requirements
- Culinary degree
- Minimum 2 years experience in a related culinary field
- Previous supervisory responsibility preferred
- Knowledge of F&B preparation techniques
- Understanding of health department regulations
- Awareness of liquor laws
- Ability to work extended hours
- Physical capability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
Job Qualifications
- Culinary degree
- At least 2 years of progressive experience in hotel culinary operations or related field
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- Knowledge of food and beverage preparation techniques
- Familiarity with health department rules and regulations
- Understanding of liquor laws and regulations
- Ability to work long hours when required
- Capacity to perform medium physical work including lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Strong leadership and communication skills
Job Duties
- Assist Chef de Cuisine in recruiting and retaining a passionate service team
- Assist Chef de Cuisine with inventory management and month-end processes including POs and invoicing
- Ensure maintenance and 100% functionality of culinary equipment
- Assign and confirm completion of weekly kitchen cleaning projects
- Lead and guide associates by modeling company culture and standards
- Conduct daily pre-shift meetings and shift reports
- Provide hands-on operational support and training
- Follow up on guest issues and communicate with culinary leadership
- Review shift reports to proactively address concerns
- Prepare ingredients including peeling, chopping, julienne cutting
- Recognize quality standards for fresh vegetables, fish, dairy, and meat
- Accurately cook various food items such as meats, fish, vegetables, and soups
- Follow recipes and plating guides for consistent product delivery
- Ensure timely, high-quality food service
- Maintain a sanitized and orderly kitchen environment
- Oversee food storage and rotation according to hotel standards
- Breakdown kitchen line and clean equipment after meal periods
- Practice safe work habits
- Comply with all health department and company food safety regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned
