Job Requirements

  • Associate's or higher degree in food service management or hospitality including food service or restaurant management courses from accredited institution
  • Food service supervisory experience required
  • Preferably two years' experience in long-term care
  • Ability to communicate effectively with healthcare team and residents
  • Capacity to manage departmental budgets and purchasing
  • Compliance with federal, state, and local food safety regulations
  • Capability to lead and coordinate dietary staff and operations

Job Qualifications

  • Associate's or higher degree in food service management or hospitality with focus on food service or restaurant management
  • Food service supervisory experience
  • At least two years' experience in long term care preferred

Job Duties

  • Assist Dietary Manager with planning, directing, controlling, and supervising dietary department functions and personnel
  • Provide nutritionally appropriate food to residents to maintain and enhance health
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding food service and nutrition care
  • Lead and guide staff to meet food quality and safety standards and satisfy resident needs
  • Manage purchase planning of food, supplies, and equipment using forecasts, inventory, and food waste data
  • Communicate with dietitians, nursing, residents, families, and other staff concerning food service and nutrition care
  • Develop work schedules and oversee daily nutrition service operations according to policies and regulations
