Job Requirements
- Associate's or higher degree in food service management or hospitality including food service or restaurant management courses from accredited institution
- Food service supervisory experience required
- Preferably two years' experience in long-term care
- Ability to communicate effectively with healthcare team and residents
- Capacity to manage departmental budgets and purchasing
- Compliance with federal, state, and local food safety regulations
- Capability to lead and coordinate dietary staff and operations
Job Qualifications
- Associate's or higher degree in food service management or hospitality with focus on food service or restaurant management
- Food service supervisory experience
- At least two years' experience in long term care preferred
Job Duties
- Assist Dietary Manager with planning, directing, controlling, and supervising dietary department functions and personnel
- Provide nutritionally appropriate food to residents to maintain and enhance health
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding food service and nutrition care
- Lead and guide staff to meet food quality and safety standards and satisfy resident needs
- Manage purchase planning of food, supplies, and equipment using forecasts, inventory, and food waste data
- Communicate with dietitians, nursing, residents, families, and other staff concerning food service and nutrition care
- Develop work schedules and oversee daily nutrition service operations according to policies and regulations
