Job Requirements
- Culinary degree or associate degree or five years supervisory kitchen experience
- Minimum five years total food service cooking experience preferably in a non-fast food or high volume operation
- Experience with food service software systems
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation principles
- Advanced food preparation and production skills
- Experience with ordering and inventory management
- Attention to detail in food presentation, flavor, and consistency
- Proficient knife skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and move for up to four hours
- Willingness to work Sunday through Thursday 12:30 pm to 9:30 pm
- Ability to work in environments with exposure to cleaning chemicals and temperature extremes
- Proficient computer skills
- Ability to train and supervise staff
- Valid references (minimum of three)

Job Duties
- Assist executive chef and chef manager in daily food production
- Ensure overall food quality and adherence to safety and sanitation standards
- Supervise and train kitchen staff including enforcing safe operating procedures
- Oversee distribution of recipes, work sheets, and production schedules
- Manage inventory control including forecasting and requisitions
- Assume opening and closing responsibilities for the kitchen unit
- Assist with menu development, recipe testing, and special university or catering events
