Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous supervisory experience in a culinary environment
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical stamina to meet the demands of the role
- Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen equipment
- Basic computer skills for inventory and ordering tasks
- Team-oriented mindset with leadership capability
- Ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure
- Commitment to maintaining high culinary standards
Job Qualifications
- Proven culinary experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant or similar establishment
- Ability to lead motivate and mentor kitchen staff to achieve high performance and maintain a positive work environment
- Strong organizational skills to handle a fast-paced kitchen
- A keen eye for quality presentation and portion control
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods up to 6-8 hours
- Lift and carry up to 20 lbs such as menus high chairs booster seats
- Reach bend and stoop occasionally
- Use hands and arms to operate reservation systems and phones
- Clear verbal communication skills and ability to interact with guests in a busy environment
- Ability to remain calm and composed while multitasking in a fast-paced setting
Job Duties
- Oversee daily kitchen operations including food preparation cooking and plating to ensure dishes meet quality standards
- Lead and mentor kitchen staff providing guidance and support to maintain a cohesive and efficient team
- Monitor food quality presentation and portion control addressing any issues promptly
- Assist in managing inventory levels ordering supplies and controlling food costs
- Ensure kitchen cleanliness hygiene and adherence to health and safety regulations
- Work 50-55 hours per week including evenings and weekends as business needs dictate
