Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in a culinary or foodservice leadership role
- Ability to manage a team in a fast paced environment
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Capability to stand for long periods on hard surfaces
- Willingness to work in a noisy, hot, and humid environment
- Flexibility to work varied shifts
- Commitment to upholding company policies and standards
Job Qualifications
- Experience cooking in a fast paced short order or a la carte scratch kitchen
- Experience with cash handling and registers
- Experience with scheduling staff
- Experience with inventory and ordering
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to train and develop team members
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
Job Duties
- Supervises team members in their area of responsibility
- Consults with members of management to make changes as needed to improve services
- Follows established Parkhurst and client policies and procedures
- Upholds standards for food quality, service, sanitation, and cash handling
- Communicates using hospitality imperatives guidelines and coaches team members
- Assists in purchasing foods and supplies
- Maintains presence in service areas to assess customer satisfaction and resolve problems
- Orients and trains staff and may present inservice training programs
- Communicates regularly with staff and holds team meetings
- Serves as a role model for appearance, dress, attendance, and professional behavior
- Enforces safety standards and reports safety problems to management
- Ensures sanitation standards are enforced and monitors cleaning procedures
- Assists kitchen staff with their duties as needed
- Performs any other duties as assigned by management
