Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • at least 1 year of experience in kitchen supervision or related role
  • knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • ability to manage a team and work under pressure
  • strong communication skills
  • capability to perform inventory management
  • willingness to work flexible shifts

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in restaurant management or certification from culinary school is preferred
  • a minimum of 1 years' experience in a similar role
  • in-depth knowledge of kitchen health and safety regulations
  • ability to work well in a possibly stressful and fast-paced environment
  • excellent problem-solving and conflict management abilities
  • outstanding communication and organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Ordering materials, supplies, and ingredients based on demand
  • supervising kitchen employees and organizing food orders
  • overseeing the food preparation and cooking process
  • training kitchen employees in designated stations
  • monitoring inventory levels and performing weekly inventory assessments
  • working with the restaurant manager to price and alter menu items
  • scheduling work shifts for employees
  • storing all food products in compliance with health and safety regulations
  • ensuring the kitchen is clean and organized
  • maintaining weekly and monthly cost reports
