Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- Experience with school breakfast and lunch programs preferred
- Proficiency with technology tools such as Word, Internet, and e-mail
- Ability to lift, push and pull up to 40 lbs
- Ability to stand or sit for long periods
- Ability to stoop, kneel or crouch
- Clear oral communication skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Technology skills such as Word, Internet, and e-mail
- Experience with school breakfast and lunch programs preferred
- Knowledge of Marion Community School Board of Trustees and Food Service department policies, procedures and functions
- Familiarity with Federal guidelines for serving both breakfast and lunch
- Ability to plan, organize and schedule priorities to meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills both oral and written
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Ability to work independently and use sound judgment
Job Duties
- Rearrange staffing due to absences and call ESC Food Service office for additional subs needed
- Secure the kitchen by unlocking in the morning and relocking in the evenings
- Secure freezers, walk in refrigerators and freezers, milk coolers, and return line windows and storerooms each day
- Record daily temperatures on all refrigerators and freezers
- Keep records on all Summaries and Productions Sheets for a period of five years or until requested destroyed
- Prepare state reports daily both Production and Financial Summaries of deposits and meal participation
- submit to ESC Food Service office weekly
- Order food and paper supplies in accordance with the menu and bid specifications
- Follow all menu and recipe instructions and Federal guidelines for quality and quantity
- Record and file weekly deposits to be brought to ESC Food Service Office
- Perform a complete inventory at the end of each month, including calculated value
- Check all invoices at time of delivery for correct count and items
- If not correct, note on invoice with drivers initials
- Perform evaluations on staff within your building
- Assist with training of your staff on health guidelines and Food Service equipment
- Communicate with parents or guardians via phone and or negative balance letters if accounts are in the negative
