Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Culinary training or related education preferred
  • Minimum two (2) years of kitchen leadership or supervisory experience
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen best practices
  • Experience with inventory ordering and vendor coordination
  • Experience creating staff schedules and managing labor efficiency
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for high-quality, wellness-focused cuisine
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English
  • Reliability, punctuality, and professional communication skills are critical
  • Ability to work under pressure with a high level of patience and customer service
  • CPR and first aid certification a plus and/or the willingness to be trained
  • The position requires manual dexterity, auditory and visual skills, the ability to follow written and verbal instructions and procedures, and the capacity to communicate effectively and professionally
  • The person in this position will need to be comfortable working in an indoor/outdoor use space

Job Duties

  • Supervise day-to-day kitchen operations and ensure efficient service execution
  • Lead kitchen staff during shifts, providing direction, support, and coaching
  • Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and training new kitchen team members
  • Create and manage employee schedules in collaboration with the Food + Beverage Manager
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels
  • place food + supply orders as needed
  • Ensure proper receiving, storage, labeling, and rotation of all food products (FIFO)
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards at all times
  • Enforce food handling, cleanliness, and workplace safety procedures
  • Assist in maintaining consistency in food quality, portioning, and presentation
  • Support menu execution including grab-and-go items, events, and specialty offerings
  • Monitor prep levels and kitchen workflow to ensure readiness for service
  • Communicate equipment maintenance needs and ensure tools are kept in safe working condition
  • Step in as needed to support prep, line cooking, or plating during high-volume periods
  • Collaborate with the Food + Beverage Manager on continuous process improvements
  • Foster a positive, respectful, and team-oriented kitchen culture
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute operational feedback
