Job Requirements

  • Technical, trade, or vocational school diploma
  • 4 to 6 years of related work experience
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Ability to work full time
  • Positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow safety policies and procedures
  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds

Job Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of cooks and workers
  • Determine food presentation and design decorative food displays
  • Ensure proper portion sizes, arrangement, and decoration of served foods
  • Monitor the quantity of food prepared
  • Inform food and beverage service staff about rejected products and special menu items
  • Prepare special meals or substitute products
  • Assist cooks and kitchen staff with various tasks
  • Provide necessary items to cooks
  • Monitor kitchen articles and food inventory
  • Maintain kitchen records to comply with food safety programs
  • Ensure food quality and notify management of non-compliance
  • Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, coaching, disciplining, motivating, and training employees
  • Comply with all safety and company policies
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions
  • Conduct safety training and obtain certifications
  • Ensure uniforms and personal appearance are clean and professional
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets
  • Attend to guest service needs
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with others
  • Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships
  • Support the team in achieving common goals
  • Listen and respond appropriately to colleagues' concerns
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • Stretch, bend, twist, and stoop as needed
  • Move, lift, carry, push, drag, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds
  • Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors
