Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of kitchen supervisory experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely
  • Physical ability to lift up to 100 lbs regularly
  • Availability to work regular hours
  • Willingness to engage in team duties and support coworkers
  • Commitment to maintaining professional behavior and appearance

Job Qualifications

  • Preferred 1-2 years kitchen supervisory experience
  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Self-starting personality with an even disposition
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Good communication skills with guests and staff
  • Team player willing to assist co-workers
  • Basic supervisory skills for planning, organizing, directing, coaching, training and disciplining employees
  • Ability to operate all types of kitchen equipment
  • Finger and hand dexterity for operating food machinery
  • Ability to lift and carry goods up to 100 lbs on a continuous schedule

Job Duties

  • Assign and direct the work and train kitchen associates to maximize productivity and minimize waste
  • Inspect daily use records with the Executive Chef or Sous Chef to ensure estimates are accurate and followed
  • Pull all food needed for daily production and utilize leftovers
  • Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing to staff
  • Attend associates meetings and promote effective communication within kitchen areas
  • Maintain and supervise housekeeping practices in the kitchen and enforce clean as you go policy
  • Inspect work stations and ensure proper set-up for meals
  • Prepare daily production charts
  • Comply with attendance rules and work regularly
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
