Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5 years of progressive culinary experience
- 2-3 years of supervisory or leadership experience
- ServSafe certification required
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Must pass background check
Job Qualifications
- ServSafe certification
- 2-3 years experience and willingness to train and develop staff
- Knowledge of advanced cooking techniques with 5 years of progressive culinary experience in a high volume restaurant setting
- Previous exposure to hot and cold food preparation as well as prior Garde Manger and pastry experience
- Excellent guest service skills
- Demonstrated creative ability
- Excellent communication skills
- Professional conduct and appearance
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Proactive leadership skills
- Ability to work independently meet deadlines and handle multiple duties at once
Job Duties
- Performs all functions and positions in the Sundial Kitchen as needed with the ability and knowledge to create advanced soups sauces and specials
- Assists with menu development
- Oversees the hotline and expedites as needed
- Assists with the training and development of culinary associates
- Ensures completion of all prep and menu items in accordance with recipes and special requests
- Creates daily specials and meets with wait staff and cooks to conduct tasting and training for upsell opportunities
- Ensures deliveries are properly stored and organized
