Job Requirements
- Two to three years experience in a related culinary position
- possession of two to three years of post-high school education preferably a culinary degree
- ability to manage kitchen staff and operations effectively
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- strong communication skills
- willingness to work evenings and weekends
- ability to handle customer service issues professionally
Job Qualifications
- Two to three years experience in a related culinary position
- candidate will possess two to three years of post-high school education preferably a culinary degree
- advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession
- experiential knowledge required for management of people and or problems
- excellent oral reading and written communication skills
- candidate must be willing to be hands on with staff and operations and be willing to work event-based hours that include evenings and weekends
Job Duties
- Oversee the kitchen staff and ensure the kitchen is operating efficiently
- train new kitchen staff on food preparation and cooking techniques
- ensure kitchen inventory is maintained and orders are placed in a timely manner
- manage kitchen schedules and ensure proper staffing levels are maintained
- ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met and maintained
- monitor kitchen equipment and schedule maintenance or repairs as needed
- develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers
- collaborate with the restaurant manager to create menus and specials
- handle customer complaints or concerns regarding food quality or service
- ensure kitchen operates within the established budget
