Job Requirements

  • Two to three years experience in a related culinary position
  • possession of two to three years of post-high school education preferably a culinary degree
  • ability to manage kitchen staff and operations effectively
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • strong communication skills
  • willingness to work evenings and weekends
  • ability to handle customer service issues professionally

Job Qualifications

  • Two to three years experience in a related culinary position
  • candidate will possess two to three years of post-high school education preferably a culinary degree
  • advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession
  • experiential knowledge required for management of people and or problems
  • excellent oral reading and written communication skills
  • candidate must be willing to be hands on with staff and operations and be willing to work event-based hours that include evenings and weekends

Job Duties

  • Oversee the kitchen staff and ensure the kitchen is operating efficiently
  • train new kitchen staff on food preparation and cooking techniques
  • ensure kitchen inventory is maintained and orders are placed in a timely manner
  • manage kitchen schedules and ensure proper staffing levels are maintained
  • ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met and maintained
  • monitor kitchen equipment and schedule maintenance or repairs as needed
  • develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers
  • collaborate with the restaurant manager to create menus and specials
  • handle customer complaints or concerns regarding food quality or service
  • ensure kitchen operates within the established budget
