Lake Austin Spa Resort is a luxurious spa resort located along the picturesque shores of Lake Austin in the Texas Hill Country. Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 years of experience in a kitchen leadership role preferably in a resort or fine dining setting
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques food safety and kitchen management
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and consistency
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Assist the Chef de Cuisine in the daily operations of the kitchen including working on the line during service times
  • Help with menu development and planning ensuring that menus are innovative and aligned with the resort's culinary standards
  • Assist in ordering supplies and ingredients maintaining inventory levels and ensuring that all products are of the highest quality
  • Work closely with the Chef de Cuisine to manage groups and special dinners ensuring that all culinary needs are met and exceeded
  • Manage labor effectively
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment adhering to health and safety standards at all times
  • Ensure that all kitchen equipment is in proper working order and report any issues to the Chef de Cuisine for prompt resolution
  • Assist in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures for the kitchen contributing to a culture of continuous improvement
  • Lead by example demonstrating a strong work ethic positive attitude and commitment to excellence
