Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Minimum of 6 months to 1 year previous experience in back-of-the-house food-service position preferred
- Ability to effectively communicate with others in a leadership capacity
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment
- High school education desired
- Participation/enrollment in culinary program preferred
- Familiarity and experience with knife handling preferred

Job Duties
- Aid in the supervision and observation of performance for the dishwashers and porters under the direction of the sous chef
- Ensure food items and kitchen utensils are prepared according to Delaware North standards of quality, consistency, and timeliness
- Maintain and enforce sanitation procedures and organization of the work area
- Utilize and sanitize kitchen equipment for the preparation of food items such as knives, slicers, whisks, pots, pans, warmers, steamers, grills, ovens, etc.
- Ensure proper food temperatures are maintained and food is stored correctly
- Perform opening, closing, and side work duties as instructed and according to proper guidelines
- Ensure workstation and equipment are clean, organized, sanitized, and sufficiently stocked
- Meet all health department standards for safe food handling and operate equipment safely, determined by position and OSHA regulations
