Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in kitchen steward or similar role preferred
Ability to stand and walk for long periods
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
Ability to follow safety and sanitation protocols
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends

Job Duties

Reports to work on time and ready to work scheduled shift
Breaks machine down properly to thoroughly clean all parts
Changes water in machine and cleans debris baskets hourly
Keeps chemicals full during service to ensure proper cleaning
Informs supervisors if low on soap products
Maintains fresh wash, rinse and sanitizer water in three-compartment sink hourly
Ensures sanitizer test strips are present
Organizes and dries shelf above sinks
Takes out trash and recycling as needed
Stocks hand sinks with soap and towels
Maintains cleanliness and organization of dish stations and soil table
Cleans soaking basins
Organizes and stores BOH space daily
Stores and organizes non-F&B orders
Removes boxes from receiving area and maintains slop sink
Keeps glass rack storage area clean and organized
Performs opening and closing duties as outlined by supervisors
