Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in a kitchen or cleaning environment is a plus
- Ability to follow safety and sanitation standards
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
- Physical stamina and endurance
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
Job Qualifications
- Endure various physical movements
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
- Ability to perform physical activities involving arms, legs, climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials
- Ability to stand and exert mobility for up to 8 hours
- Able to kneel, squat, bend, stoop, and twist to perform duties
- Capability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition
- Maintain necessary supply of clean dishes, glassware, silverware, pans, pots, etc. at all times
- Stock supplies, such as dishware, glassware, pots, pans, skillets, utensils or food in designated areas
- Wash all pots, pans, kettles, and skillets as needed
- Monitor trash levels and remove when needed
- Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas
- Provide assistance to kitchen personnel during set-up and clean-up
- Ensure that the restaurant kitchen, banquet kitchen, and employee cafeteria are clean at all times
- Sweep and mop entire kitchen, dish room, coolers, and employee cafeteria
- Keep service elevators clean
- Use proper cleaning chemicals according to OSHA regulations
- Keep cooks well stocked with any equipment needed
- Transfer supplies or equipment between storage and work areas
- Perform duties timely and efficiently according to company policies
- Other duties as assigned
