Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in food service or kitchen work preferred
  • knowledge of food safety standards
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • physical ability to lift heavy items
  • willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment preferred but not required
  • knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellence in kitchen cleanliness
  • excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • physically able to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Wash, rinse, and sanitize all dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and cooking equipment
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen areas, including dishwashing stations, storage areas, and kitchen surfaces
  • ensure that all kitchen waste is disposed of properly and recyclables are sorted appropriately
  • assist in food preparation, including chopping vegetables, measuring ingredients, and assembling dishes as directed by the kitchen staff
  • help maintain inventory by keeping track of supplies and notifying management of low stock levels
  • assist in receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring all items are properly labeled and stored in their designated locations
  • follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe kitchen environment
  • adhere to health inspection standards and prepare the kitchen for inspections when necessary
  • work closely with chefs, cooks, and other kitchen staff to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen
  • contribute to a positive team environment by communicating effectively and helping out where needed
