Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in a kitchen or food service environment preferred
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects
- Willingness to work in hot and humid kitchen conditions
- Strong attention to detail

Job Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a kitchen or food service environment preferred but not always required
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques, food preparation methods, and kitchen equipment
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, follow instructions, and collaborate in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail ensuring accuracy in food preparation, plating, and presentation
- Ability to work efficiently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines to maintain smooth kitchen operations
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changing menus, recipes, and procedures
- Understanding of food safety regulations including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices
- Good communication skills for effective interaction with colleagues and occasionally customers
Job Duties
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients and mise en place for recipes according to established procedures and recipes
- Cook and prepare dishes as per the recipes and instructions provided by the chef including grilling, frying, baking, sautéing, and other cooking techniques
- Assist in plating dishes and ensuring they meet the restaurant's quality and presentation standards
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen including cleaning workstations, equipment, utensils, and dishes while adhering to food safety regulations
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring and restocking ingredients and supplies as needed and notify supervisors of low stock levels
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations and follow instructions from chefs and kitchen managers
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents including proper equipment handling, fire safety protocols, and wearing appropriate attire
- Occasionally interact with customers to take orders and address concerns or inquiries in a polite and professional manner
