Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Up to one month related experience, training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to communicate effectively in small group settings
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Ability to follow detailed written or oral instructions
  • Ability to exert physical effort including lifting up to 25 pounds and occasionally over 60 pounds
  • Ability to use kitchen equipment such as slicers, mixers, and ovens with proper certification
  • Willingness to work inside and outside environments
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain cleanliness
  • Commitment to follow safety procedures
  • Willingness to attend required training sessions and meetings

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to operate computers and meal counting software

  • Previous experience in food service or related roles beneficial
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in a kitchen environment

Job Duties

  • Assist with the set-up of serving lines daily and ensure food is held at required temperatures
  • Assist in food preparation according to menu plan and company recipes
  • Operate kitchen equipment such as slicers, mixers, and grinders with proper certification
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas
  • Clean kitchen and cafeteria equipment and dishes
  • Manage inventory using First In/First Out procedures
  • Maintain dishwashing area and store clean dishes
  • Requisition food and supplies through the Kitchen Manager
  • Prepare baked goods as required and present them appealingly
  • Batch cook to ensure quality and presentation
  • Set up serving/bar lines and restock as needed
  • Serve food items with appropriate portion sizes and utensils
  • Keep serving lines stocked with food, napkins, silverware, and dishes
  • Prepare foods in compliance with menu plans and company recipes
  • Follow standardized recipes for consistency
  • Recognize reimbursable meals per federal regulations
  • Maintain accurate daily production records
  • Follow HACCP food safety protocols and log temperatures
  • Adhere to safety procedures and report unsafe conditions
  • Participate in safety and daily operational meetings
  • Attend required trainings and promote company core values
  • Comply with company timekeeping policies
  • Handle customer money and operate cash register or POS
  • Complete paperwork, tray counts, and meal reconciliations daily
  • Submit accurate work hours
  • Notify supervisor of absences timely
  • Perform other duties as assigned
