Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • ability to stand and walk frequently
  • must lift or move objects up to 25 pounds
  • ability to follow instructions accurately
  • knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
  • willingness to work in hot, humid, and noisy environments
  • availability to work inside and outside conditions
  • reliable attendance and punctuality
  • ability to operate dishwashers and other kitchen equipment with certification
  • effective communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • ability to read and write simple correspondence
  • competency in following detailed instructions
  • experience or training in food preparation preferred
  • certification in operating kitchen equipment preferred
  • knowledge of food safety standards such as HACCP
  • ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one and small group situations
  • ability to use kitchen tools and software relevant to food service
  • commitment to company core values and safety policies

Job Duties

  • Prepare breakfast and lunch offerings
  • assist with serving lines and occasional catering functions
  • operate kitchen equipment with certification
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of work and kitchen areas
  • practice inventory management and FIFO procedures
  • prepare baked goods and present food appealingly
  • follow standardized recipes and meal pattern regulations
  • keep accurate production and food safety records
  • operate cash register and handle customer payments
  • complete meal reconciliation and paperwork
  • clock in/out on time and notify management of absences
  • attend required meetings and training
  • promote company core values
  • report unsafe conditions
  • perform other assigned duties
