  • assist in the preparation and cooking of food items according to recipes and standards
  • ensure consistency and quality in food preparation and presentation
  • follow portion control guidelines to minimize waste
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
  • assist in the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations
  • monitor ingredient inventory levels and report shortages to the assistant kitchen manager
  • conduct regular line checks to ensure proper stock and quality
  • adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • implement kitchen safety protocols to create a secure working environment
  • ensure kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained properly
  • work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations
  • assist in training new kitchen staff members
  • communicate effectively with team members and management

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment
  • basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques
  • ability to follow recipes and portion control guidelines
