Job Requirements

  • Must have at least 1 year of professional kitchen experience or start as dishwasher or prep cook
  • ServSafe certification preferred or must complete training at Cinepolis
  • Must know how to use U.S. measurements for cooking
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to stand for long periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally with assistance
  • Good communication skills
  • Flexible with working hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of professional kitchen experience preferred
  • Culinary training preferred
  • Experience with dishwashing, prep, cooking, and expediting
  • ServSafe training certification preferred or must complete Cinepolis training
  • Proficient in kitchen operations and execution
  • Working knowledge of U.S. measurements, weight and volume
  • Ability to follow instructions on safe use of chemicals and cleaning materials
  • Effective communication skills with supervisors and coworkers
  • Ability to manage time and meet deadlines
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and handle physical demands of the job
  • Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations positively
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English a plus but not required

Job Duties

  • Prepare menu items accurately and promptly when ordered through point of sale system
  • Only make items ordered through the point of sale system and always do the right thing
  • Accommodate special requests with management approval to create a positive guest experience
  • Prepare dishes according to recipes to maintain quality and consistency
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with kitchen staff to ensure timely, high-quality food delivery
  • Remake items when instructed by supervisor or manager
  • Adhere to food safety guidelines including temperature control, labeling, and cross-contamination prevention
  • Maintain cleanliness by washing dishes and cleaning work area during and after shift
  • Stock kitchen areas with dry products and prep materials and restock throughout shifts
  • Use FIFO system to keep food fresh and reduce waste
  • Maintain accurate waste logs for discarded items
  • Keep supervisor and kitchen manager updated on inventory levels
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude with coworkers and customers
  • Follow all opening, mid, and closing procedures
  • Attend trainings and meetings
  • Other duties as assigned
