Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- one month related experience, training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and write simple correspondence
- ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions
- must be able to stand, walk, sit, squat, climb, balance, kneel, crawl, push, pull, grasp, feel, taste, smell, talk, hear, and reach with hands and arms
- ability to exert over 60 pounds of force occasionally and frequently lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 25 pounds
- vision abilities including concentrated attention, depth perception, sharp focus, and color vision
- willingness to work inside and outside, often in wet, humid, hot, or cold conditions
- able to handle noise levels that are usually loud
- ability to maintain cleanliness and safety in kitchen environments

Job Duties
- Prepare breakfast and/or lunch offerings and assist with serving lines
- participate in occasional catering functions
- perform all positions within the kitchen
- assist with set-up of serving lines daily and ensure food is held at required temperatures
- operate slicers, mixers, grinders, and other equipment with proper certification
- keep work areas neat, clean, and organized
- clean kitchen and cafeteria areas including equipment and dishes
- maintain inventory stock using First In/First Out procedures
- clean and maintain dishwashing equipment
- requisition food and supplies through the Kitchen Manager
- prepare baked goods like bread, cakes, and cookies
- batch cook to maintain quality and presentation
- serve food items with proper portions and utensils, maintaining hospitality standards
- keep serving lines stocked with food items, condiments, napkins, silverware, and dishes
- prepare foods in compliance with menu plans and recipes
- follow standardized recipes for consistent product quality
- recognize reimbursable meals and adhere to meal pattern regulations
- keep accurate daily production records
- follow HACCP processes and maintain food safety logs
- obey safety rules and report unsafe conditions
- participate in safety incentive programs
- attend required meetings and training
- promote company core values
- handle customer transactions and cash register operations
- complete paperwork and meal reconciliation daily
- submit work hours accurately
- notify supervisors of absences promptly
- perform other duties as assigned
