Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License
  • Tuberculosis screening record free of contagious TB
  • Ability to read and interpret written and oral instructions
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and perform physical tasks
  • Ability to supervise multiple children visually and auditorily
  • Ability to multitask and work in a noisy environment

Job Qualifications

  • Skilled in writing reports and correspondence

  • Basic mathematical skills including fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions

Job Duties

  • Responsible for the general order and cleanliness of the tray line area
  • Follows proper procedures when serving food during mealtimes including taking temperature and tasting foods
  • Keep all silverware stocked and ready for mealtimes
  • Ensure plates, bottoms, tops, and trays are ready for the next tray line service
  • Refill the service area’s refrigerator and prepare it for the next meal
  • Maintain temperature logs accurately
  • Replenish floor stock based on forms and notify manager of shortages
  • Maintain refrigerators clean and free of expired items
  • Follow cleaning, safety, and sanitation procedures
  • Perform daily cleaning assignments
  • Discard trash and empty cardboard bins
  • Clean and return pots, pans, flatware, trays, utensils, and equipment
  • Maintain a 3-compartment sink and check chemical levels
  • Monitor and maintain dish machine supplies and cleanliness
  • Prepare food items according to Sunny Glen recipes and production sheets
  • Assist management as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
