Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • must be bilingual in English and Spanish
  • high school diploma or GED required
  • valid Texas driver’s license
  • tuberculosis screening clearance
  • ability to perform physical duties such as standing, walking, lifting, and managing kitchen equipment
  • ability to work in noisy and fast-paced environments
  • willingness to follow safety and sanitation protocols
  • ability to communicate effectively with staff and management
  • commitment to continuous learning and teamwork
  • availability for full-time employment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • ability to speak and write in English and Spanish fluently
  • valid Texas driver’s license
  • knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel
  • ability to read and interpret business documents and government regulations
  • ability to write reports, correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • ability to perform arithmetic and apply mathematical concepts
  • proven problem-solving and reasoning skills
  • experience in a food service or kitchen environment preferred
  • knowledge of safety and sanitation standards
  • physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, and perform kitchen tasks
  • ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently

Job Duties

  • Maintain cleanliness and order of tray line area including sweeping and mopping
  • follow proper food serving procedures and perform temperature checks
  • stock silverware and prepare plates, trays, and food items for service
  • replenish service area refrigerator and floor stock based on inventory forms
  • maintain temperature logs and adhere to sanitation guidelines
  • clean and sanitize kitchen equipment including dish machines and sinks
  • assist management in efficient kitchen operations
  • perform daily cleaning assignments and follow closing procedures
  • discard expired food items and trash responsibly
  • prepare food items according to Sunny Glen recipes and production sheets
  • communicate any discrepancies or supply shortages with management
  • follow safety, sanitation, and standardized cleaning procedures
  • support overall kitchen team and perform other assigned duties
