Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Up to one month related experience, training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds frequently
- Ability to exert over 60 pounds of force occasionally
- Capability to stand, walk, squat, climb, balance, kneel, crawl, push, pull, grasp, feel, taste, smell, talk, hear, and reach with hands and arms
- Ability to comply with food safety and HACCP procedures
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness and organization
- Willingness to participate in safety incentive programs and required training
- Ability to work in varying conditions including heat, cold, humidity, and noise
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Effective communication skills for one-on-one and small group interactions
- Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to apply common sense to carry out written or oral instructions
- Experience with kitchen equipment such as slicers, mixers, and ovens helpful but not required
Job Duties
- Prepare breakfast and/or lunch offerings
- Assist with the set-up of serving lines daily
- Operate kitchen equipment with proper certification
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and cafeteria areas
- Follow standardized recipes and menu plans
- Record and maintain accurate production and food safety logs
- Handle customer transactions and complete daily administrative paperwork
