Job Requirements

  • Must have at least one year of professional kitchen experience
  • Culinary training preferred
  • Experience in dishwashing, prep, cooking, and expediting
  • ServSafe training certification preferred or must complete training prior to line work
  • Proficiency in kitchen operations and execution
  • Must have working knowledge of U.S. measurements
  • Ability to follow safety instructions for chemical and cleaning materials
  • Must work effectively with supervisors and coworkers
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage time
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to walk, lift, twist, bend, and reach frequently
  • Good communication skills
  • Must handle difficult and stressful situations positively
  • Flexible working hours including holidays and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • At least one year of professional kitchen experience

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus
  • Flexible availability including holidays and weekends

Job Duties

  • Prepare menu items accurately and promptly as ordered through the point of sale system
  • Follow food handlers safety guidelines including temperature control, labeling, and avoiding cross contamination
  • Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure food quality and timely delivery
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including washing dishes and cleaning work areas
  • Stock and restock kitchen supplies and ingredients according to FIFO system
  • Maintain waste logs and communicate inventory levels to supervisor and kitchen manager
  • Follow all operational procedures including opening, mid, and closing duties
  • Attend trainings and meetings
  • Perform other duties as assigned
