Job Requirements

  • English fluency required
  • minimum two years prior hotel or kitchen experience
  • at least one year supervisory experience
  • knowledge of kitchen operations and production
  • familiarity with OSHA SB198 and health regulations
  • ability to train staff and deliver luxury service
  • strong communication skills
  • detail oriented organizational skills

  • physical capability to stand walk push pull and lift up to 40 lbs

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum two years prior hotel or kitchen experience including at least one year supervisory experience
  • knowledge of all facets of kitchen operations and production
  • familiarity with OSHA SB198 local Department of Health regulations and relevant hazardous substances laws

Job Duties

  • Train schedule support review discipline and terminate kitchen staff as needed to maintain department productivity and morale
  • respond professionally and promptly to all guest needs and requests
  • oversee the preparation of food for restaurants employee meals banquets and special functions ensuring quality and quantity standards are met
  • maintain an up-to-date computer listing of all scheduled business
  • coordinate with Food & Beverage Managers and Dining Room Supervisor or Manager for efficient operation of dining and banquet departments
  • inventory and supply refrigerators according to business needs
  • regularly inspect kitchen areas to ensure sanitary conditions
  • follow procedures for opening and closing the kitchen
  • perform duties of Executive Chef in their absence
  • document personnel and payroll transactions for processing
  • promote and comply with all Temecula Creek Inn policies and procedures
  • report suspicious occurrences and hazardous conditions immediately
  • maintain cleanliness and safety of work areas
  • practice safe work habits to avoid injury
  • ensure kitchen staff comply with safety rules regulations and proper equipment use
  • conduct safety training for new kitchen employees
  • hold monthly departmental safety meetings
  • attend all mandatory meetings
  • perform other tasks including cross-training as directed
