Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • two years experience repairing and servicing commercial kitchen equipment
  • EPA 608 certification or ability to obtain within six months
  • familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management System
  • valid driver’s license with clean driving record and insurability
  • minimum age of 18 years
  • no felony, theft, assault or stealing convictions
  • ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screen
  • ability to pass background investigation
  • ability to obtain and maintain gaming license
  • knowledge of repair and maintenance methods
  • basic plumbing knowledge
  • understanding of electrical concepts and safety
  • ability to order parts and supplies
  • knowledge of safety procedures
  • ability to use maintenance tools and chemicals safely
  • knowledge of preventive maintenance and repair
  • ability to work in 24/7 operations

Job Duties

  • Schedule monthly preventive maintenance inspections on all commercial kitchen equipment and appliances
  • perform service and mechanical repairs on commercial kitchen equipment and appliances including replacement of parts
  • continually assess preventive maintenance schedules to ensure equipment longevity and reduce downtime
  • coordinate all activities and repairs with supervisory personnel
  • respond promptly to repair orders to avoid service disruption
  • maintain service and repair of refrigeration units including walk-in refrigerators and freezers
  • contact and coordinate work with outside vendors
  • perform maintenance, servicing, remodeling, troubleshooting and repair tasks including electrical systems examination
  • ensure proper cleaning and maintenance of equipment, tools, materials and vehicles
  • observe safety rules and maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • oversee and participate in clean up and work site restoration activities
  • respond appropriately to emergencies such as fires and flooding
  • install and maintain kitchen equipment, grease pits and special equipment
  • attend mandatory training
  • contribute to team efforts and perform other duties as assigned
