Job Requirements
- Current Food Handler's Permit
- Ability to work closing shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic understanding of food handling and sanitation practices
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Must enjoy working with and handling food products
- Ability to interpret and follow company policies and procedures
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Current Food Handler's Permit required
- Experience in a food handling or retail environment preferred
- Ability to follow food safety and sanitation standards
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
- Positive attitude with a focus on customer service
- Ability to accept constructive feedback and accountability
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Follow established departmental and store policies and procedures
- Ensure the quality and freshness of all kitchen products and services
- Maintain appropriate product assortment and inventory levels
- Confirm pricing accuracy and proper signage for all products, especially promotional items
- Clean and sanitize the kitchen daily to meet company standards
- Serve chef-prepared salads and entrees from the chef case
- Slice meats and cheeses to order
- Deliver excellent customer service to all customers
- Package kitchen products and stock shelves on the sales floor
- Restock the kitchen department and assist with receiving deliveries
- Assist with other kitchen duties as needed
