Job Requirements
- Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Ability to stand and engage in physical activity for the duration of the shift
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. frequently
- Repetitive motions include, but are not limited to grabbing, reaching, lifting, bending, and stooping
- Works frequently in hot and damp environment
- Frequently immerses hands in water and water diluted with chemical solutions
- Frequently works with sharp knives, utensils, hot kitchen equipment, tools, and plates
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience working in a commercial kitchen preferred
- Positive attitude and ability to work well with others
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Job Duties
- Setting up, operate and breaking down dish machine
- bussing and scraping trays and storing clean dishes and silverware
- Daily cleaning of kitchen equipment
- Daily cleaning of kitchen drains and floors
- Wash, dry and maintain dishes
- Prepare dishes, silverware, pots, pans, and other kitchen tools for cleaning
- Set up plates, napkins, cutlery, etc. for meal service
- Follow direction and preparation lists as outlined by Kitchen Manager
- Clean and maintain kitchen stations in accordance with all safety and sanitation guidelines
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and solutions including dilution ratio knowledge
- Support all staff as needed
- Assist with meal service wiping down service stations, tables, processing all dirty dishes and refilling clean plates, utensils as they become available
- Maintain and clean dish area, and self-serve stations, salad/sandwich bar etc.
- Maintain recycling and compost/trash stations
- Sort and remove recycling, compost, garbage, and pallets making sure all garbage is removed before the end of day
