Job Requirements
- ability to work on your feet for long periods of time
- ability to lift and carry 50lbs on a consistent basis
- ability to adhere to strict personal hygiene and standards of dress consistent with policy
- attention to detail
- basic math and english skills
Job Qualifications
- 1+ years working in a professional kitchen commercial a plus preferred
- current health code certification as per state and local DOH requirements preferred
- understanding of kitchen sanitation standards and handling of cleaning chemicals
Job Duties
- Cleans and sanitizes wares, equipment and facility
- organizing the dish room(s) and ensuring proper storage of all supplies
- collecting, washing and sanitizing dishes while returning pots, pans, cutlery and other small wares back into use as quickly as possible while adhering to sanitation guidelines
- washing and disinfecting kitchen appliances, work surfaces, floors and walls
- removing and recycling, waste and compost from the kitchen and keeping their receptacles clean
- performs other duties as assigned by their leader in support of the kitchen
