Job Requirements
- Minimum one year pastry experience or training equivalent
- Ability to follow recipes
- Ability to follow directions and work without daily supervision
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with high accuracy and speed
- Enthusiasm for team-oriented, fast paced creative environment
- Practice sanitation and safety daily
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Culinary degree or certificate from an accredited school
- Previous experience in resort cooking, baking, or pastries
- High-volume cooking or baking experience

Job Duties
- Prepare pastry items as assigned
- Ensure quality control and consistency including proper food storage, correct taste and presentation, and maintaining a clean and organized work area
- Assist in receiving, storing and rotating food properly
- Prepare food items according to standard recipes or guest specifications
- Bake breakfast pastries such as muffins, croissants, Danish goods, breads, and desserts
- Prepare lunch and dinner pastries including Mozza, Parker House Rolls, cakes, pies, tarts, torts, cookies, and other desserts
- Operate pastry kitchen equipment such as sheeters, mixers, ice cream machines, and ovens
- Assist the Assistant Pastry Chefs in creating and developing new menu items
- Provide exceptional service by fulfilling special guest requests
- Maintain and clean equipment including personal knives and specialty tools
- Plan food portions to minimize waste and control food costs
- Produce orders timely meeting all specifications
- Comply with state, local, Food Safety, MSDS, OSHA, and Health Department regulations
- Prioritize work assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Promote accident prevention through safe work habits
- Collaborate effectively with Pastry Chef, Assistant Pastry Chef, and other departments such as Stewards, Outlets, Catering, and Engineering
- Maintain a clean, neat, well-organized work station
