Job Requirements

  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience managing kitchen staff
  • Certified in food safety such as ServSafe
  • Certification as a Kitchen Manager by a Certified Trainer
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds regularly
  • Capacity to operate kitchen equipment safely
  • Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong physical stamina and ability to perform a variety of physical tasks

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment with leadership roles
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen management
  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and multitask
  • Attention to detail and dedication to food quality
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • ServSafe certification required
  • Certified Kitchen Manager by Certified Trainer preferred

Job Duties

  • Supervise kitchen operations including line cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers
  • Ensure food preparation and presentation meets restaurant standards
  • Train new kitchen staff on food preparation, safety and sanitation
  • Manage inventory levels and coordinate ordering with management
  • Enforce kitchen safety, hygiene and food handling regulations
  • Foster teamwork and positive communication among kitchen staff
  • Collaborate with General Manager on menu planning and rollouts
