Job Requirements
- Experience working in a commercial kitchen in child food service preparation and/or management
- ServSafe certification or ability to acquire within one month of hire
- Knowledge and understanding of measurements for large quantity food preparation
- Availability to work onsite Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Ability to comply with Colorado Child Care licensing, CACFP and Colorado Health Department regulations
Job Qualifications
- Experience working in a commercial kitchen in child food service preparation and/or management

- Knowledge and understanding of measurements for large quantity food preparation
- Knowledge of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) preferred
- Ability to work onsite at Arvada location Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Commitment to promoting healthy eating habits for children
Job Duties
- Preparing breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack for ELC children onsite and serve in a family-style fashion
- Creating 4-week rotating menu following the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) regulations regarding daily nutritional content and portion sizes
- Developing weekly food order lists
- place orders with adequate lead time for delivery
- maintain inventory
- and track dates to ensure food items are used prior to expiration dates
- Ensuring both the commercial kitchen at the resource center and the warming kitchen at the ELC are always compliant with health department guidelines
- Working in collaboration with the volunteer coordinator and development team members to support food deliveries and to ensure all kitchen standards are maintained for licensing and health department regulations when the kitchen is used for teen mom and champion events
- Promoting Hope House Colorado’s Core Values throughout the organization and external relationships
